Overview
Taqwa is an Islamic mobile application designed to be a comprehensive companion for daily spiritual life. The app provides prayer times, Quran reading, Dhikr counters, Qibla direction, and Islamic reminders — all wrapped in a beautifully minimal, calm design that respects the nature of its purpose.
The Challenge
The Islamic app market is crowded with cluttered, ad-heavy applications that feel more like software utilities than spiritual companions. The challenge was to build something that felt genuinely premium and peaceful — an app users would want to open every day — while covering a comprehensive feature set without overwhelming them.
Our Solution
We approached the design with restraint and intention — a calm colour palette, generous whitespace, and Islamic geometric motifs subtly woven into the visual language. The information architecture was stripped to its essentials: each feature has its own dedicated space rather than competing for screen real estate. The result is an app that feels as considered as its subject matter.
